For a long time I felt this was glorified nasi lemak, meant to scam the unaware. Then I heard how good it was and have been trying to visit. I must say, one, it's indeed excellent. But, two, it showed the limits of hawker food, where no matter how good it is, there's a ceiling. If you're here, this is the chicken you should get. It's spiced and therefore a symphony of flavours in my mouth. But that's not unique - this is the style in KL. What's more impressive was the organic bird. It's the most beautiful flesh I think I've eaten. Then there's the rice, which was a fragrance bomb. Then there's the chilli, which was rich and addictive. Then there's the ikan bilis, which was like chips. Everything else was quite normal haha.
