Had expected the sweet broth to be more potent with prawn taste, but I guess it's more tolerant and not too overpowering. You'll find dried shrimps at the bottom of the soup.
3 jumbo prawns were enough to fill stomachs. The prawns were fresh and springy. and it's the first time I really could eat the flesh off a prawn head. Don't forget to ask them for their special chilli sauce for the extra kick.
Every detail to their mee kia (thin type of noodles) were coated with generous portion shrimp sauce and pork lard. Noodles were not overly springy like the HK type. The sauce might make you feel it's a bit to the salty type though.
For S$20 it might not be your everyday hawker fare, but if you do feel like indulging yourself, you can certainly take a break from waffles, eggs benedict, truffle fries and get yourself a bowl of levelled up hawker fare. (there are $6 and $12 versions with small prawns)
