Chanced upon this hole-in-the-wall bakery named Coffee Time which sells cakes, dim sum and Chinese pastries (think Char Siew Pastry, Siew Pau, Wife Biscuits etc.) at Blk 269 Queen Street (just a corner away from 3838 Eating House where New Rong Liang Ge is located) , which also serves Nanyang Kopi pulled using an espresso machine much like the one from Kopi More at Golden Mile Food Centre. Thought the Iced Kopi was no doubt smooth yet roasty, though a little bit on the sweeter side if opting for default level of sweetness — perhaps the difference would be more stark if ordering it hot instead; probably making a mental note to try that in the future!
