The Heng Hwa in me is always on the look out for places serving Heng Hwa cuisine, and this is one of the stalls in my bucket list for ages; finally got to try it out and I am glad that I did.

Pu Tian Delights is tucked right at the corner of Alexandra Village Food Centre. The Heng Hwa Bee Hoon is probably one of the better iterations one can get in a hawker stall/food court setting (discounting the tzechar type of stalls that serves Heng Hwa cuisine). While the prawns and clams (hidden underneath) are pre-cooked and placed on the plate while they cook the beehoon, the clams didn't carry any disturbing sandy bits (my pet peeve) and the shrimp were surprisingly fresh and carries its own natural sweetness. The Bee Hoon was springy and flavourful; carries that slightly ricey flavours well with the slight saltish flavours of the seaweed complimenting well — the Bee Hoon not being too wet as well. It's overall quite a satisfying and generous portion for $3.50 — it may look plain, but it's also quite comforting and also pretty affordable considering pocket-friendly Heng Hwa cuisine in a hawker setting is still pretty much a hard find.
