A couple of days into our trip and a craving for Asian food struck. So thanks to Google Maps, we found this popular Vietnamese eatery in the older part of Toronto, quite close to “Little Italy” and “Little Portugal”.
I got the Bún Bò Hue, a spicy beef soup noodle. It was a massive serving of rice noodles, beef brisket, ham, pig’s trotter and cubes of pig’s blood. Although the soup was not as spicy as I had anticipated, I liked it a lot for the aromatic lemongrass and herbs used in the cooking. A real belly-warmer that’s just the thing for the cool weather at this time of the year.
