Though quite the carb-loaded option, Keong Saik Bakery’s Truffle Potato Cube ($6.50) was just my thing. Packed with boiled potato cubes and truffle-infused cheese filling, the pastry was best enjoyed after a quick pop into the oven. The crisp and flakey crust of charcoal croissant cube wasn’t too heavy and went superbly with the slightly oozy truffle cheese encased within. The umami-packed and deeply fragrant truffle filling being my favourite part. I also appreciated the melted cheddar cheese top which added an extra dose of savouriness and crunch.
