One of the defining factor of Teochew-styled porridge is actually the accompanying braised meats which are highly dependent on a good braising sauce. The braising sauce here is powerful and good. Thick with dark and caramelly sweet flavours while successfully maintaining the signature watery Teochew-styled sauce. The duck and pork belly here is also very good, but it is only available at night. So glad I made a detour tonight and chosen a place I've not tried before.
