Besides their mainstays of sliced cakes, belgium waffles and lava cakes, Hvala has also recently pushed out the concept of having limited-time only special desserts painstakingly curated by their in-house pastry chef.

Being the matchaholic i am, i've definitely had my fair share of matcha tiramisu. Though green, this is not matcha flavoured, but genmaicha flavoured! The sweetness of the azuki layers paired really well with the generous amount of genmaicha mascarpone which had a pleasant toasty, nutty fragrance. I think i much prefer a genmaicha-azuki to a matcha-azuki pairing haha
