Resembling more to the Korean Bingsu than the usual Kakigori that we get here, Babao Dessertโ€™s line of shaved ice are fairly decent and pretty promising. At $11.80, the Mango Kakigori thankfully didnโ€™t taste like artificially syrup-ed ice and came with a good amount of freshly cut mango chunks inside. Quite refreshing. The Cocoa Kakigori ($8.80) similarly was a safe combination with the familiar flavour of our favourite malty beverage present throughout the fine bits of ice. Buried underneath the mount was also crunchy Milo nougats which went surprisingly well with the soft, fluffy non-dairy cream atop that was further dusted with peanut powder. And to make the treat richer add on a choice of toppings - ice cream, sago (50 cents) or mini mochis ($1) like those in our Mango Kakigori!
