Finally jumped onto the bandwagon of Tsui Wah, the popular Hong Kong 茶餐厅 that recently opened their 1st branch in Singapore 🎉 Although there was a Saturday dinner queue at 630pm, the queue moved surprisingly fast and we were seated in about 20min. The food came 10min later, true to Hong Kong’s F&B culture of “chop-chop” service👏🏻 To be honest, I wasn’t particularly impressed with Tsui Wah when I first tried it in Hong Kong, perhaps that was because I didn’t order the right dishes then and there were so many other amazing food options in Hong Kong😍 This time round, I tried Beef Brisket and Tendon Curry ($13) and it turned out to be pretty good! The beef was soft, fell apart easily and the curry goes really well with rice. The Kagoshima-Style Braised Pork Cartilage with Tossed Instant Noodles ($9.50) was not bad too. For weekend indulgence, we ordered Crispy Bun with Condensed Milk ($4) and I like that it was not too sweet. Overall, the signature dishes are pretty decent and if you would like to give Tsui Wah a try, don’t let the queue deter you - it might move faster than you think!
