We were the first patrons for their newly launched brunch/lunch menu. Overall the food seemed to be geared towards light Flavours whereas we would have preferred slightly punchier and more savoury.
Their version of a calzone (bottom right) was pita bread stuffed with pork belly. I was expecting a traditional over-baked calzone pizza. Anyways still tasty but could improve on the crackling which was hard and chewy. I LOVE crackling so that was a letdown.
The scotch eggs were alright and would have been better with more seasoning in the outer breaded mixture. And the roast beef wrap was good.
Special shoutout to the bartender who mixed up a (at the time) nameless gin and herb-based cocktail for me. It was perfection, especially for the gin-lover that I am.
Would return for the dinner menu and I have hopes their brunch menu was be improved.
