Long queue is a norm for this famous scissor curry rice in Thomson. Be prepared to wait for at least 7 mins for each visit. The Hainanese curry slather on these toppings we picked (Clockwise: Prawn Fritters $1.50/2 Pcs, Ikan Billis $1.50, Cabbage $0.80, rice $0.60). We love it that they have a price board and quite a coincidence that most customers in our row end up paying $4.40
.
Prawn fritters are still crispy and so lucky that we pick this before they run out. The ikan Billis might be too sweet for some unlike Nasi Padang place that usually make this dish salty. The boiled cabbage (Chap Chye style) is not to be missed no matter what you choose along with curry sauce. Happy to try out (tasty & affordable) although we hope that ingredients are fresh & healthy! 💪
P.S. curry sauce is not for sale!! 😉
