We had 6 courses paired with 7 wines, and this is the course paired with 2 different wines from @babichwines - the Babich Marlborough pinot noir 2016 and the Babich winemaker's reserve pinot noir 2015.

I was alternating between the two wines, and figured I liked the Marlborough's to go with the heirloom carrots, carrot puree, and the buttery pastry crust, and the stronger Reserve to go with the ox cheeks. It was an interesting duet to go with this course by @grandhyattsing.
