Greetings with a picture of an amazing treat and coffee! Second visit to CGGMM for a tasting session generously invited by the cafe themselves. I was so excited for this day and indeed had a great time!

Featuring the Rocky Mountain (will have a close up review later), hot chocolate and a hand brew with La Maravilla beans from Guatemala, passionately brewed with Chemex by their head barista Amin.

I'm not a coffee expert but I love hand brews because I can taste my coffee better and fresher compared to machine espressos/long blacks. Amin described espressos like "a punch in the face" and hand brews as subtle and slow tasting. I definitely agree with that imaging. 😝

Coffee profiling: Slightly acidic but bearable, sweet, nutty, not so fruity. AND ITS NOT BITTER AT ALL! 😍 That's the best thing about filtered coffee especially Chemesx. It was so clean and aromatic. Chemex is a method of slow brewing with a kettle and something like a conical flask from Chemistry lab (as seen in picture) 😂. It seems that you can control the acidity and bitterness by your pouring method and the skills of your barista. Amin definitely had the skills as I enjoyed my coffee in every sip! I learned a lot about coffee that day. [Thanks Amin if you're reading!]

Do have a chat with Amin if you want to learn more about coffee. He'll be delighted to share his knowledge with you.

Hot chocolate was delicious too! Although my friend didn't really like it because it tasted like pure cocoa and was slightly bitter, I like bittersweet hot chocolates! The latte art is amazing as well. Look at those fine lines!

As I said before CGGMM is great place to chill and have quali-tea time (pun). Great quality coffee, tea and desserts. They will be expanding their food menu soon so do lookout for them!

Coffee: 8/10 Price: 9/10 (RM 10 for hand brew and hot chocolate - another place for cheap and high quality coffee. Much cheaper than some cafe for overpricing locals as much as RM 18 for hand brews 😭)
