Popped by Malaysia Boleh! foodcourt at AMK Hub with my family on Sunday and am pleasantly surprised to find a number of dishes that are actually pretty good and affordable:)! The Fried Lau Shu Fun ($5) from KL Hokkien Mee is infused with wok hei and the slippery noodles are coated in a sweet, savoury and lardy dark sauce. The KL Wanton Mee ($3.80) features springy egg noodles tossed in dark sauce and paired with plump wantons and well-charred char siew. Lastly, Yong Peng Xi Dao Fishball Noodles ($3.50) is tossed in dark sauce and the fishballs have a firm bite without being overly (read: artificially) bouncy. For a themed foodcourt specialising in Malaysian street food, I was half expecting gimmicky food but it turned out that there are quite a few hidden gems:)!
