Having tried the Chahan Unagi on the first visit, I thought the fried rice here was somewhat similar to that garlic fried rice even though it was stated as a Buah Keluak Fried Rice. I appreciated its fragrant wok hei with a spoonful of mashed buah keluak and chili paste akin to hae bee hiam (or spicy fried shrimp sambal) which really added a spicy kick.

Fried with shiitake mushrooms and chicken chunks, I was surprised to find that the chicken chunks were added separately instead of tossing in the buah keluak paste, which I felt could have been done so to enhance the overall buah keluak impression.
