Let me warn you, at the end of a meal at Ma Cuisine, regardless of how stuffed you feel, once their dessert trolley materialises in front of you, any resistance will melt away.
On the trolley you’ll find a Creme Caramel and Chocolate Tart (recipes courtesy of Chef-owner Mathieu Escoffier’s grandfather and mother respectively), and sometimes depending on his mood, a Lemon Tart. Chef Mathieu bakes each item fresh daily and as different as they are, each is as scrumptious as the other.
I find the rich, eggy Creme Caramel served with a scoop of real vanilla cream very appealing. Ditto the 66% chocolate tart with a crisp pastry base. But as I have a soft spot for all things tangy, the Lemon Tart reigns at the top of my charts. The proportion of crust to the refreshing, zest-speckled filling, is perfect in my book. And you have to admit, it is a thing of beauty, isn’t it? 😍
