Quality pastries are my weakness, and I certainly wouldn't mind spending a couple more dollars on some beautiful and yumm-meh bakes! Thus fulfilling both requirements, the offerings at Tarte by Cheryl Koh are simply great for any occasion and act as instant mood boosters for me.

Each priced at $10 (small), there is a tart for every palate. For something tangy, the crowd-pleasing Lemon Meringue Tart is a go-to for an after meal treat with its soft meringue crown and vibrant fresh lemon curd. Or pick up something more localized with their Pandan Coconut Tart loaded with smooth pandan curd on a fragrant toasted coconut frangipane. The bits of coconuts atop adding a nice textural touch too~

However, the elements in the nutty Hazelnut Tart and classic Cheese Tart proved to be never failing. Think crunchy Piedmont Hazelnuts stacked on a base of slightly sticky-sweet caramel and milk chocolate. So good! Creamy yet balanced, also look no further than their rendition of the humble Cheese Tart. A harmonious blend of Mascarpone and Cream Cheese, the filling reminded me of a light Japanese cheese cake with flavours leaning towards the sweet.
