This was everything I yearned for for a good cake — it was reasonably dense, sufficiently moist and not too heavy on the palate. Here, the orange provides just a light zesty flavour that tickles the tastebuds, while the rosemary helps to add an aroma that neutralize the citric flavours that rounds off the cake pretty nicely. The light, airy whipped cream was fragrant on its own, but helps to add a bit of richness to the orange and rosemary flavours of the cake. Considering how the cake is sold at $3 per portion, this is certainly a slice of cake that is a steal at its price considering the quality here.
