Since Flavours was a vegetarian restaurant, we thought it would be very interesting to try what baked pasta would taste like here! We were surprised to find that it tasted no different from normal baked pasta, with a whopping amount of cheese in a piping hot bowl! The portion was rather generous and there were quite a few big pieces of lion mane mushrooms, which were arguably the highlight of the dish!

However, we were very surprised to find that the restaurant used spaghetti in baked pasta; it may have been better to use penne since it was really challenging to eat the spaghetti amidst all that cheese. Also, the "laksa" in the menu actually refers to laksa leaves, and you can taste and smell the presence of shredded laksa leaves in the dish. However, it might have been better to add some drilled chillis so as to give the dish the orange hue and tinge of spiciness that we are more used to when we think of "laksa".

For $16++, it is a pretty average price for baked rice at a restaurant. However, with Burpple Beyond, you can enjoy a one-for-one promotion and the dish becomes a great steal! Note that Flavours can be quite full on weekends so do make a reservation in advance if you are planning to pop by on a weekend!
