Jingzhou Empress Pastry (皇后饼), a traditional pastry originating from Jingzhou Gongan County (荆州公安县) with over two thousand years of history, since the Warring States Period (475-221 BC). .

Empress Pastry is filled with the most luxurious ingredients and baked in gold clad, marble-lined ovens. @ImperialIndulgence have learnt the secrets of this Empress Pastry making from a Jingzhou shifu (chef) and they have brought forth this traditional art to Singapore! .

Adding a Singaporean twist to the Imperial Pastry (故宫皇后拼), they have flavors such as:
*Golden Pork ($3.80 on promotion) My fave! *Hae Bee Hiam ($4.80)
*Salted Egg Chicken Floss ($4.80)
*Gula Malacca ($4.80)

My favorite is definitely the Golden Pork, which is also their best seller! It is made from a succulent minced pork cut that has been marinated for 48 hours. Best to eat it while piping hot! 😋

*Wu ZeTian Mountain Dates Milk - 武则天山枣奶 ($4.80)
*Wu ZeTian's Jealousy Matcha - 武则天吃醋抹茶山枣奶 ($6.30)

Wu Zetian Mountain red date milk which comes in original and Matcha. The sweetness from these drinks come from the red dates and rock sugar. Really love the Matcha one which is not too sweet and it goes so well with their crispy Empress pastry! .
