Served with keropok crackers, homemade achar, cucumber topped with sambal chilli ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ (which I requested for more ๐Ÿ™ˆ), half a salted egg(leggit an egg and not the typical sauce), turmeric fried chicken chunks, the butterfly pea infused blue rice ๐Ÿš surpassed my expectations, so fragrant and flavourful that I can gladly eat it in silo (with perhaps maybe some of the sambal chilli ๐Ÿ˜‚)! ๐Ÿ’– Whatโ€™s more, itโ€™s a natural tone that makes it even more attractive! After all, natural is always the best right? ๐Ÿ˜Œ Moving on to the turmeric fried chicken, it was tender and succulent with a slightly crisp exterior that was well marinated and spiced up with the turmeric fragrance. Though I am personally not a fan of fried chicken, I do fancy this with a greater meat:batter ratio ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. The homemade achar was tangy with lingering zesty and spicy notes that also came with a pleasant crunch. The sambal chilli was a great pairing not only to the rice, but to the keropok crackers as well that I canโ€™t help but requested for an extra serving for dipping! ๐Ÿ™ˆThe spiciness was distinct and lingering but as a fan of spicy food, I would certainly not mind not mind having a higher intensity of spice! ๐Ÿ”ฅ It was my first time having a Nasi lemak with a SALTED egg instead of the usual fried egg/omelette and this combination actually turned out to be fine after all, despite my initial doubts and worries about it. However, it might be an acquired experience, given the characteristic intense saltiness of the egg. Very much prefer having the usual fried egg over salted egg anytime for a nasi lemak! ๐Ÿ˜… Lastly, with 2 thick slices of cucumber for a refreshing ending to the heavy, sinful albeit satisfying and fulfilling meal, it was certainly an enjoyable dish that I wouldnโ€™t mind having it again ๐Ÿ˜‹. Do head down to try it soon before it is taken off the menu from 23 October onwards! .
