Some time back my colleague ask me to eat at the original store apart from the other store I went. If you know, you know.๐Ÿ™‚
Well, gotta agree that it certainly taste better in terms of texture and aroma.๐Ÿ˜‹
Charcoal-cooked Hokkien Mee($6)๐Ÿ”ฅ
The strong wok hei noodles were infused with a nice amount of charcoal smokiness. The char taste doesn't overpower the noodles taste which make the noodles to stand out even more.
Ratio of yellow noodle to thin white noodle is about 1:1.
The wetness is at an appropriate level and is dryer than the other store. Broth was well-absorbed giving its true umaminess.๐Ÿ˜‹
Sotong was fresh, soft and tender. Prawn was deshelled and is kinda small for here.
Hint of pork lard can be found if you are lucky.
Although sambal enhance the food but I suggest to eat it without sambal, it just taste better without it. I don't know why. Sambal here also not that good compare to the other store.
The plate serve here although is smaller but the quality is top notch.๐Ÿ™Œ
