Hands down one of my fav places for mee kia and kway teow. Especially love the silky soft kway teow, it’s slightly wider than the usual kind you get but cooked so well! No doubt it’s a tad more expensive and oily, but it’s so worth it for the flavours. Instead of the vinegary sort, the noodles here are tossed in a mix of pork lard and chili with lots of minced pork, slices of fishcakes and bouncy fishballs. Soup’s tasty too!

If you want more noodles, request for ‘add noodles’ which is a 50 cents top up, rather than going for the $5/$6 portions which gives you more ingredients like prawns than noodles. Also, they’ve different outlets across Singapore and this is the only branch I’ve tried, so I’m not sure if the flavours are all the same.

The ice lemon tea ($1.50) from the drink stall here is good too, not the kind mixed in with lime juice - my fam’s fav combi for our Sunday breakfasts!
