I have walked past this small eatery at the basement of Tiong Bahru and it is always packed.

Having been disappointed ๐Ÿ˜” so many times in the past few months , my search for a good enough Nasi Lemak continues.

I am glad that I found one pretty good one at SMA today. Don't ask me what SMA means - the name of the eatery is just not quite instinctive to remember.

The rice was fragrant and fluffy and the sambal was really really tasty and good. The rice and the Chilli ๐ŸŒถ to me makes up 99 percent of the Nasi Lemak and in this case both were pretty well done . The sambal had small chunks of onions and was closer to the sambal I have tasted in Malaysia ( ie similar to madam Kwan's type of sambal ) which I prefer.

I recommend replacing the fried egg with the boiled egg because the egg white of the boiled egg just goes so well with the sambal and a plus plus point for a healthier option too ๐Ÿ˜›

In my opinion, this was better than the chain of " popular " Nasi Lemak springing up in Malls today .

By the way - SMA's curry noodles and Mee rebus also seem like popular options.

Do try for yourself ๐Ÿ˜Š.
