This was quite an interesting maguro dish ($18). Maguro strips are marinated in a soy sauce and wasabi based dressing, topped with uni and caviar and served with cucumber strips.

I felt that the maguro was slightly drowned out by all the other richer ingredients. This particular lean cut of maguro has a more delicate flavor and texture. And I couldn't really taste that beneath the dressing.

Still, as a whole the flavors formed quite a delicious medley, especially the spicy kick of the wasabi which could be washed down with a gulp of ice cold beer.
