Last louHEI for CNY lo! 🍊🍊 To celebrate the Spring Lantern Festival, we had Sushi Tei’s Prosperity Yusheng (large $43.80, good for 6 pax) topped with their 8 Treasure Platter ($32.80), which comprises 28 slices of salmon, baby abalone, swordfish, yellow-tail, tuna, raw scallop, surf clam & whelk clam. 🤩🤩🤩
.
If you’re a fan of Sushi Tei’s salad just like me, u’d be extremely delighted as the dressing for the yusheng not only includes the usual plum sauce, a cup of their signature dressing was included too! 💯 So thrilled to see that familiar vibrant orangey sauce as a perfect replacement to the usual oil (but I think they did add more oil to this dressing though). Its slight savoury flavours complements the sweet plum sauce, making the yusheng dressing more balanced & dimensional. 😋😋😋
.
The vegetables, carrots etc. were thinly shredded & perfectly absorbed the dressings while retaining its crunch. 💕 All the sashimi slices were fresh & naturally sweet! However, I only noted that 16 slices of salmon sashimi was omitted from my pack while I was crafting this post! 😭😭😭 So there should have been even more sashimi in this humongous plate!
.
My favourite yusheng used to be that from Swensen’s & while I still like it, now I can finally comprehend the reason behind the high popularity of this rendition from @sushiteisg - you’ll get to enjoy some seafood goodness in every bite! ❤ Especially perfect for those who are not a fan of vegetables - this would be a great choice! 👍🏻
