The popular Waikiki eatery has just opened its very first outlet outside of Hawaii and Japan today! Located at Plaza Singapura level 3, Eggs ’n Things makes for the perfect all-day breakfast stamping ground serving fresh pasteurised eggs, freshly baked breads, home-made sauces, as well as organic beef and chicken. And of course having land on our tiny shores, you have to try the sweets at the pancake house.

Topped with more than a generous amount of fruits and whipped cream, we skipped right to their signature pancakes. Known as the best pancakes in Hawaii, the recommended Fresh Strawberry, Whipped Cream and Macadamia Nuts ($19.90) was a sight! Featuring the iconic 15cm tower of airy whipped cream, the picture-perfect dish was surprisingly light and well-balanced - not too sweet. Made for sharing and a hearty drizzle of the syrups (think refreshing coconut, tangy pink guava and classic maple) at the table. While not as fluffy as I like, the combination of the sweet strawberries and crunchy nuts was foolproof. What’s more, they have a selection of pancakes with the ingredients (nut, fruits or chocolate chips) mixed in with the batter!
