Second time ordering the Dirty ($5) and unfortunately I felt it was quite inconsistent with my first visit to Prodigal Cafe. It wasn’t quite so well-mixed, and ended up being very milky at the bottom but a full-on coffee shot at the top. I’m not sure which way it’s supposed to be served, but I preferred it done the first time I visited where the beverage was more uniformly mixed.

The affogato comes in two sizes, and we ordered the larger one. The taller affogato ($7) here should agree with casual coffee drinkers as it’s more of a milky dessert than coffee. Similar to the Dirty, this beverage wasn’t well-mixed and there was a clear separation between the milk and espresso shot. Once again, I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be served that way, but at least this beverage comes with a spoon so you can mix it if you like.
