Doesn't look like much but this is the love of my life RIGHT HERE. I love jianbing so much when I was staying in Beijing for a bit I had it almost thrice a week...... Quintessential breakfast food there, but almost impossible to find here - trust me I've searched everywhere. It's tough to get the right sauce here - the only other store I've found dumps hoisin sauce over premade jianbing wrapper and calls it a day. Blasphemy!! But here, the sauce is just right: a little sweet, salty and very suited to the singaporean palate I feel. Skin and the 薄脆 (fried wanton wrapper) are commendable as well. Do give this a try!! I mean both times I've been here everyone is just lining up for the cheap malatang and at this point I'm just really confused by why mala and not jianbing took Singapore by storm these past few years. Its a big trend in other countries and the lack of it here is slightly offensive. Oh well. Enjoy!!
