My eyes zeroed in on the pastas and while the award-winning Prawn & Spicy Chorizo Pasta at Porta is the popular choice for its spicy and intense flavour, the Wild mushroom pasta ($22) is certainly no slouch.

Super earthy and finished with a slug of cream, the sautéed mushrooms were comforting and way delicious. Beautifully al-dente, the accompanying orecchiette holds plenty of sauce in its shell and is truly the perfect pasta partner.
