First time trying Fat Belly and it was so good!!

I ordered the Italian Burrata Cheese paired with Toasted Sourdough Bread as a starter since it was what they were known for. As a fan of burrata I can fairly say it was done extremely well, being creamy and full of flavour without feeling too indulgent. The bread was also toasted perfectly, and it went nicely with the burrata.

Got the 2GR Full-Blood Wagyu MS 6/7 Denver and Auskobe Wagyu MS 4/5 Deckle for the mains and they might be one of the best steaks I've had recently! I personally preferred the Denver as it was a lot more tender and well-marbled (although this might be due to the nature of where this piece of beef was cut from). Nonetheless, the Deckle was also pretty good being deeper in flavour. Overall I really enjoyed having these with some rock salt - which the restaurant generously served when I asked for more.

For a change I decided to try the Sautéed Thyme Mushrooms and Charred Broccolini to go with the steaks. Not exactly the conventional sides I would usually opt for but it was a pleasant surprise! Both added good balance to the meal overall although the mushrooms were a total scene-stealer! So rich and flavorful and yet the thyme was not too overpowering, giving the mushrooms a good boost to its natural taste.

This place does not stinge on their portions! I was so full by the time I finished the mains but a girl's always got space for dessert 😂😂 Glad I ordered their Basque Burnt Cheesecake which ended my meal on a HIGH. NOTE. Was pleasantly surprised by how the chefs managed to achieve that level of creaminess without being too dense.

Hope to come back here again soon 😉

(Also thank you to server Joyce who provided warm and friendly service throughout the evening, explaining the dishes to me patiently when I asked!)
