Perhaps a tad exotic of a lunch choice for my family as we are unfamiliar with Sri Lankan curries but we generally enjoyed the dishes we had at Kotuwa. First up, the Mutton Rolls ($16) served as a great opener. Crunchy, superbly seasoned, and piping hot, the flavourful spiced meat-filled rolls were covered in an even golden brown panko crumb coat. The tinge of heat from the mutton was manageable on a whole and there was also a funky-sweet tamarind ketchup on the side to help. The gaminess was pretty mild too, in my opinion, as the deep-fried snack was more spice-forward.
