Always back at Keisuke when I crave ramen. I often opt for red tonkotsu broth because I like my ramen spicy, but I decided to try something different this time. I am actually not sure if the black tonkotsu here entails a garlic flavour. While I did not taste a strong garlic flavour, there was a great, unique tasting char to the broth which I found weird at first, but grew to love it. It gives a different tasty kick to the broth, and if you do taste other red/white broths after drinking the black one, you would probably find the others blander. So if you’re looking for a mild-flavoured broth, the black tonkotsu would not be for you. However, if you’re craving something strong that would guarantee you a flavourful time - I will recommend this! Ensured that it had nodes of spiciness to satisfy the spicy monster in me.
The flavoured ramen egg addition is a must for me. However, it wasn’t as impressive as I remembered. As pictured, it wasn’t as lava-ish (runny) as I liked it to be. Neither was it extremely flavoured. Rather, it was pretty bland. Nonetheless, the broth made up for it!
