I was pleasantly surprised by the tastiness of most of the dishes I received from @themarmaladepantry. Here’s a list of those I liked and which I felt, traveled best:

1. Spicy Crabmeat Pasta ($26) - I am not exaggerating when I say this lived up to its name and was very appetising. The al dente linguine came with a truckload of sauce (packed separately) that comprised of much more jumbo and lump crabmeat than chilli-tomato gravy (but who in the right mind says no to plenty of crabmeat, right? 😍😋). I am not a fan of pine nuts but this, it worked very well - adding a distinct toasty fragrance to the whole.
2. Kimchi Fried Rice ($26) - Topped with grilled beef striploin, nori and a sous vide egg, the rice bowl was a solid performer with the pearly rice grains very flavorful from being well-fried in kimchi.
3. Aglio Olio Pasta and Chicken Chop ($15) - When you crave a spicy spaghetti and fried chicken at the same time, this would meet the criteria for sure. Moreover, it’s got the most pocket-friendly price tag of the lot.
4. Char Siew Kurobuta Pork Belly ($32) - A collective mind-blowing moment took place over this. The thick chunky cuts of soy and honey-glazed pork belly melted in the mouth like nobody’s business. Not that they needed anything else but the apple-chilli chutney, roasted pumpkin mash and sweet potato chips were worthy sidekicks.
5. Caesar Salad (currently: $17, usual price: $20 - $25) - Because I wanted some greens, this was my pick of salad. Portion was large and it tasted perfectly decent with the romaine and kale joined by avocado, a poached egg, sourdough croutons and a homemade dressing.
6. #ChocolatePudding ($14) - I selected this signature of #themarmaladepantry that came with espresso ganache and fresh mixed berries as one of the desserts. It didn’t disappoint.
7. Sticky Date Pudding ($14) - Heated it up briefly in the oven before pouring on the toffee sauce. I felt the sauce could have been a tad less runny but the pudding itself—soft, fluffy and moist—was wonderful.
