We walked into this Korean restaurant in the spirit of randomness and felt like we hit the jackpot with this dish. Why? Because it was gastronomic gratification of the Korean kind, pure and simple. Maybe it was the mood we were in and this somehow was that "comfort food" we didn't even know we were looking for. Anyway, the deliciousness was a combination of many elements. To start with, the slices of three-layered pork that had bits of crunchy soft bone cartilage were just the right thickness. They were cooked with a generous amount of fresh, big soy bean sprouts, some seaweed and a few pieces of "ddeok" (Korean glutinous rice cakes) in a sweet and spicy concentrated gravy.
The portion was so large it could be easily shared amongst four persons but the two of us managed to polish off most of it. Yes, we have rather healthy appetites ☺️
