Somehow, good bowl of local hawker food is able to hit the spot in no way any atas fancy-schmancy plated dish can.

This gem on the third floor of Golden Shoe gets two thumbs up for the springy noodles flavoured with just the right amount of chilli sauce. The char siew here is sweetish and blackened, which I prefer over the usual crimson-stained slices.

I also ❤️ the 红油抄手 here; the piquant sauce of chilli oil and vinegar is balanced just right.
