Putu Piring || @HaigRoadPutuPiring
.
Does anyone recognise these moulds? Yes, they are used to make traditional Putu Piring!
.
I have to admit that both Putu Piring and Tutu Kueh look similar with their snowy white exterior.
.
The key difference is that Putu Piring, a Malay dessert, is usually filled with gula melaka and topped with grated coconut, while Tutu Kueh, with its Chinese origin, is usually filled with peanut or coconut. Well but either way, they are both bite-sized desserts oozing with much handmade goodness.
.
And bet you didn't know that this stall, Haig Road Putu Piring, is featured in the @MichelinGuide! Swipe ā¬…ļø for more pics and view the gula melaka within these mini cakes. šŸ¤—
