The calamari here isn't the usual crunchy, batter-coated variety. Instead, they serve theirs grilled with olive oil and fresh oregano. Springy in texture, not rubbery thankfully, the skewered squid comes on a small pile of fagioli, which is a classic Italian dish of pasta stewed with beans. I didn't find any pasta in my plate though, just two kinds of pale coloured beans. Can't say I was crazy about them but generally, beans don't excite me much. Sorry beans.
