This installation of Burpplebeyond was guided by tastermaker Jason Wong suggestion that one check out the Communal Place helmed by a Chef who used to intern at a famed Michelin star Chef restaurant.
First it was my mum and I trying out the miso salmon and chicken roulade. Then just dinner the next day was our family of 5 trying out an assortment of other dishes.
The menu here is not overtly extensive but just right. What mattered was how each item we tried were well executed with some outstanding ones. For the latter category, the beef ragout, miso salmon and fish and chips are worth travelling for.

A shout out component that resurfaced in many items was the smooth and quite iconic mash purée here at the Communal Place.
Also if your dining companions are like my family with big appetites, the truffle fries here sets you up for some luxurious carb loading at good value.
