This is the vegetarian rendition of bak kut teh, although the soup was of the herbal rather than the peppery variety. The soup was done pretty well and aside from the strong herbal flavour, the taste of mushrooms has been infused in the soup.

The dish also contained tofu, carrots, taupok, mushrooms and mock meat. Served with thick vermicelli and youtiao at the side, it was really filling for one person and I think it might be best to share this amongst two!
