Cheap good and fresh popiah are hard to find these days. If you are looking for a quick fix, Heng Heng popiah is the place to go.

I like that their raddiah and carrot filling still retain some crunch and are naturally sweet. Some stalls make the mistake of not "squeeze drying" the filling which usually results in a broken skin due to the moisture. There is no such problem at Heng Heng whose popiah retains it shape and is nicely packed -- testament to the stallholders' skills.

That said, I do like my homemade popiah.
