This dish features their signature chargrilled pork belly served with their spicy house dip. I was undoubtedly pleased with the huge slab of pork belly that I was served, but I must admit it became too filling after a while. This was pretty good, especially when dipped with the sauces they gave. I loved their spicy red sauce, which they told me they made it from scratch themselves. I am not sure what the dark sauce was, but I’m pretty sure if some form of sweet dark sauce. The charred flavour in this pork belly was a bit too strong as well, and the burnt taste was overwhelming to the point it was slightly bitter. This strong flavour carried on for the whole meal, and I became sick of the flavour after a while. It would’ve been better with a bigger portion of rice, but then again the meat was already difficult to finish. Nonetheless I think it was a fantastically done, although I would request for less sear/char on my meat. The meat was pretty meaty too, not too fatty as the other lemongrass pork belly I had.
It’s worth a try if you’re there for the first time; but if are in a dilemma I’d suggest getting the lemongrass pork belly instead!
