Aka Char Koay Kak which is more commonly used in Penang, Malaysia whereas Singapore say it as Chai Tow Kuey but both meant the same thing just in different style.
Do not be confuse with the black or white version of Singapore style. It's simply different.
The cooking style was more similar toward Penang Char Kuey Teow and each cube of the cake was twice the size you know of.
It contains garlic, bean sprout, spring onion, eggs, preserved radish and pork lard. Texture was soft and mushy due to steaming before stir-frying. Taste was lighter in savouriness as compared to Char Kuey Teow. A pretty great alternative to have if you want something for a change.
