The craze for these lava baos is madness!! Long queues forming at Raffles Place exchange. We were wondering what all the hype was and finally we knew why! These Steam baos originated from Bangkok... They have a variety of fillings such as Matcha, durian, black sesame, salted egg yolk. Priced at a steep $3.50 per, $16 for a box of 5 assorted flavors. We tried the uji matcha. The filling was flowy but was too little compared to the thick bao! Proportion of filling to Bao is abit off and we wished the filling was a little more Gao. They have another outlet/pop up at Takashimaya basement (near Godiva Choc) which was less crowded
