Penang Fried Kway Teow ($5)
.
Sprouting a rather long queue at the popular Albert Court Food Center, this Penang Fried Kway Teow stall seems to be rather new and is run by younger hawkers. I love the portion and the kway teow had a decent flavour to it. The plate was also chock full of ingredients like cockles, chinese sausage, egg, bean sprouts and prawns, stir-fried with lots of lard bits. The downside of this dish was its lack of that fiery wok hei found in penang style fried kway teow and even our local version. I couldn’t find any chared/blacked noodles burnt from the wok flame. We left the calories to be better spent elsewhere midway through this dish.
