You saw me lohei at home last night, that's because Carvery of Park Hotel Alexandra is offering this lohei for takeaway, starting 22 Jan next Monday to 2 March.

This came with excellent pulled pork, with fragrance that wafted out as soon as I opened the box. It was marinated in thyme, rosemary, juniper berries and bay leaves, then slow roasted for 4 hours till fork tender. It was also served with very interesting sides - fried fish skin, caramelized walnuts, granny smith apple, red cabbage, orange pearls (you know the bursting boba in some bubble tea?) and fried pickled ginger. As part of the lohei tradition, olive oil, peach balsamic dressing and tortilla chips are provided separately for you to pour in while saying the auspicious greetings.

They have a traditonal yusheng with fish too - the golden eight treasures yusheng sliced cured trout, but only for dine in.
