Finally got to try this Japanese “Water Cake” that I’ve been eyeing for a long time online. As expected, the mochi itself is pretty much tasteless, so scoop it up with sauce and ground peanuts in each mouthful for flavour and a little texture. Basically a super soft jelly, it melts away quickly in your mouth. A fun treat if you’ve never tried it before. Apart from the novelty, I would actually order this again and my personal preference is the original flavour that has a sweeter sauce.
