Nestled in a hidden corner of Tanjong Pagar, the tiny restaurant was rather empty when we arrived at 11.30AM on a Monday. We both ordered the Beef Sukiyaki Don Set ($13.90), which came with a Chawanmushi, Miso Soup and free flow Pickled Veggies & Iced Water. We were given a choice of the level of doneness, and the chef quickly prepared our food on the counter top induction cooker. After being served, we quickly doused our Beef Don with the sweet Sukiyaki sauce and topped it up with an Onsen Egg, both of which were given separately. Each mouthful we took was flavourful, with occasional bites of braised Tofu and Veggies. Although the beef was not super tender, it was reasonable considering the price we were paying. Overall, I had an enjoyable, fulfilling and affordable meal - a rare find in CBD.
