Indonesian Specialities Buffet

Spent a delightful evening @jwmarriotsg ‘s Beach Road Kitchen feasting on the wide array of buffet spread as today marked the start of their collab with guest chefs from The Ritz-Carlton Bali. Expect lots of Balinese favourites like the Babi Goreng, Rendang Sapi Tradisi, and one of my favourites, the Gulai Kambing Jakarta, a Jakarta style yellow lamb curry with super tender and fall-off-the-bone meat. There was also a grill station serving up Ikan Panggang Jimbaran with choice of pomfret, rainbow trout and sea bass as well as chunky sate (satay), grilled iberico pork and beef short rib ghalbi. The smoky and slightly charred iberico pork had me going back for multiple servings throughout the night. Dessert was also aplenty with a kueh dadar station offering freshly made pandan rolls stuffed with either coconut or mango puree, multiple cake selections, yogurt softserve, a shaved ice station and a sweet jar station with 18 different jars of gummies and other sweets. Besides the special selection, the usual buffet fare of salads, cheese station, seafood including freshly shucked oysters and sashimi were available too, making this buffet spread simply too good to be missed.
